Question 30 - The Sheep and the Goats - And the JEWS?

According to Pre-Trib, when Jesus told the Parable/Prophecy/Illustration of the Sheep and Goats, He actually slipped in another group of people. The Question is, did Jesus slip the Jews into His Parable, or, did Pre-Trib slip them into it when they developed Dispensationalism? Pre-Trib says that, at Christ's Second Coming there'll be Judgment in which Jesus will judge all who are alive at that time. Pre-Trib says that there'll be three groups of people then; the Sheep, the Goats, and the Jews. Pre-Trib says the Jews, not the Sheep or the Goats, will be the main focus at Christ's Second Coming. Their view causes Pondered Questions, Un-Answerable Questions,  and confuses the whole point of Christ's parable. A careful study, in fact, even a casual study, into the Sheep and Goat Parable shows that the event does not occur at Christ's Second Coming, but rather is the Great White Throne Judgment Scene. For a complete look at this, see Blogsite, "Come Ye Blessed of My Father."In this Blogsite we will carefully go through Christ's Prophecy/Parable and when we are done, there should be no doubt as to what Jesus meant and when it will occur.

Let's Pray
We ask our Readers to please say a prayer that God will send His Holy Spirit to be you ONLY Guide as you examine our Blogsites. Please take a moment to do this before proceeding. Thank You SO much!

One of the best ways to determine whether or not Pre-Trib has a correct View of Christ's Parable/Prophecy/Illustration using the Sheep and Goats is to simply read it directly from the Bible, so, we'll reproduce it here. There are five points to note as we read it through.
  1. Did Jesus say anything indicating a third group in addition to the Sheep and the Goats?
  2. When Jesus was addressing those on His right hand, do we see any reason to believe He stopped addressing the Sheep when He said, "Come ye Blessed of My Father?"
  3.  Note that Jesus said, "Brethren," when addressing the Sheep, and He did not say, "Brethren," when addressing the Goats. This is very significant.
  4. Notice that Jesus will, "Sit upon the Throne of His Glory," and in Revelation, John saw the "Great White Throne Judgment Scene."
  5. Notice the Goats are cast, "into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." In Revelation, after the Great White Throne Judgment Scene, those not found in the Book of Life will be, "cast into the Lake of Fire" (Rev.20:15). Also, "And the Devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone" (Vs.10)                                Parable/Prophecy of the Sheep and Goats
  • 31 "When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the Throne of His glory: [We will show that this "Throne of His Glory" is the "Great White Throne Judgment"]
  • 32 And before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
  • 33 And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
  • 34 Then shall the King say unto them ["them" meaning the Sheep, not the "Brethren"] on His right hand [the Sheep, not a third group of Jews], 'Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [So, who inherits the Kingdom? Jesus said the Sheep] [Notice next that Jesus tells what the Sheep did to deserve inheriting the Kingdom]
  • 35 [Again, still talking to the Sheep, Jesus said] For I was an hungred, and ye [the Sheep] gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in:
  • 36 Naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me.'
  • 37 Then shall the righteous [Sheep] answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when saw we Thee an hungred, and fed Thee? or thirsty, and gave Thee drink?
  • 38 When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in, or naked, and clothed Thee?
  • 39 Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee?'
  • 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you [Sheep], Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.' [If Pre-Trib is correct; if the Jews, and not the Sheep, are inheriting the Kingdom, why did Jesus tell the Sheep they were inheriting the Kingdom?]
  • 41 Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: [Underscore "Fire prepared for the Devil and his angels." It is very important]
  • 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink:
  • 43 I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in: naked, and ye clothed Me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not.
  • 44 Then shall they also answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when saw we Thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto Thee?'
  • 45 Then shall He answer them, saying, 'Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these [Notice Jesus did not say "My Brethren" here], ye did it not to Me.'
  • 46 And these (the Goats) shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous (the Sheep) into life eternal" (Matt.25:31-46).
Jesus said that He will say to the Sheep on His right hand, "Come ye blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world" (Matt.25:34). The Pondered Question here is, if Jesus was referring to 3 groups instead of 2, why did He only make mention of 2? The other Pondered Question is, why did Jesus call the Sheep the, "Blessed of His Father" if the Sheep represent Gentiles who are given entrance into the Kingdom based only on the fact that they treated the Jews kindly during the Tribulation? Pre-Trib says the, "Blessed of the Father" are only the Jews for whom the whole Millennial Kingdom will be for?

We know that all of our Readers are sincere and honest Bible Believing, Truth Seeking Christians. If not, you would never have read this far in this Blogsite. As we proceed we will try to cover each detail so that when our readers finish examining this Blogsite, the whole truth will be clear. Please continue praying for God's Spirit to be your ONLY Guide.

Two Opposite Views From Pre-Trib About the Sheep and Goats
Pre-Trib advocates are divided as to who the Goats really are in the parable. Some say the Sheep and Goats are made up from individual Gentile persons, while others say the Sheep and Goats are made up of whole nations.  We will explain for those who are not aware of this:

Sheep & Goats as Individuals?
Within Pre-Trib, there is dispute as to who the Sheep and Goats actually represent. Some say the Sheep and Goats represent the individual non Jews, persons, that live through the Great Tribulation and see Jesus come at His Second Coming. These Pre-Tribbers say Jesus will classify each Gentile person alive as a Sheep or a Goat. According to Pre-Trib, Jews, also called Israelites, are not included among the Sheep or the Goats. They say the Sheep will be the people who treated the Jews kindly during the Tribulation when Antichrist tries to destroy all Jews.  Pre-Trib says these, "Sheep Gentile" individuals will be allowed to remain alive here on Earth during the following thousand years.  These individual Gentiles, says Pre-Trib, will come from all non-Jewish Nations around the world. All Pre-Trib Promoters say this "Kingdom" is the fulfillment of all Old Testament Prophecy/Promises made to the Jews. (We suggest that the Bible says Jesus takes His people, ALL of HIS PEOPLE to Heaven at His Second Coming. This includes Jews and Gentiles, and ALL who've died in a saved condition from the time of Creation.  Jesus said, "In My Father's house are many Mansions...I go to prepare a place for you...I will come again and receive you unto Myself that where I am, there ye may be also" See Jn.14:1-3)!
This same group of Pre-Trib Promoters says that, during the Great Tribulation, many individuals will treat the Jews badly, or ignore the Jews completely, and be indifferent to the plight of the Jews while Antichrist persecutes them. These Pre-Tribbers say that many of these Gentiles will even help Antichrist in his attempt to destroy the Jews. Thus these "Goats" will not be allowed to enter the Millennial Kingdom. A Pondered Question here has to do with Pre-Trib's version of what happens to the Goats. According to Pre-Trib, these "Goats" will face a judgment, be condemned, and cast into Hell, then be brought out of Hell to face another Judgment a thousand years later at the Great White Throne Judgment. (It is our belief that the lost wicked will die at Jesus' Second Coming, and will be resurrected a thousand years later. At this resurrection, all of Earth's lost wicked will be raised from the dead and will stand before the Great White Throne Judgment. See Rev.20:4-16)

Sheep and Goats as Nations
These, the Pre-Trib Promoters that oppose the above Pre-Trib Promoters, teach that Jesus will classify whole Nations as a Sheep or a Goat, depending on how the leaders of that nation dealt with the Jews during the Tribulation. Thus, if the Nation's President resisted and opposed Antichrist's attempts to destroy the Jews, that President and all the citizens of his nation will be classed as Sheep and that Nation will be allowed to enter this "Millennial Kingdom." On the other hand, according to this group of Pre-Trib Promoters, if the Nation's President was indifferent to the Jews, or, helped Antichrist persecute the Jews, that Nation would be judged unworthy and the entire nation would be denied entrance into the Millennial Kingdom! In other words, if a person missed the Rapture and is a member of a nation whose leaders treated Jews kindly, he would be allowed to enter the "Kingdom of God" even though he himself was a scoundrel! On the other hand, another person who missed the Rapture, but he himself is otherwise a kind person who cares about other people's needs and acts upon his feelings, could be condemned to Hell and not be given another chance in this "Millennial Kingdom" because the President of his Country joined in Antichrist's attempts to destroy the Jews! Dear Reader!! If this all seems against anything God or Jesus would have any part in, in a moment we will present what we believe the Bible and Jesus really said and meant. First let's look closer at Pre-Trib's view.

Pre-Trib says - "Neither Sheep Nor Goats are Jews"
Jesus said, "All Nations" will be included in the Sheep and Goats. Pre-Trib says the Jews are a third group not part of the Sheep or the Goats. Does this third nation interpretation fit into what Jesus said? Pastor, let's look again, and this time see if we can see anywhere that Jesus allowed for us to switch back and forth from Jews and Sheep. Clearly Jesus is addressing only the Sheep in the following:  And before Him shall be gathered all nations [Jews and Gentile nations]: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the leftThen shall the King say unto them ["them" meaning the Sheep on His right hand, not the "Brethren"] on His right hand [the Sheep, not a third group of Jews]'Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  [Jesus then tells what the Sheep did to deserve inheriting the Kingdom, ending by telling the Sheep how they actually did the kind deeds as if to Jesus Himself] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you [Sheep], Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto Me.'
Can anyone say Jesus was not speaking to the Sheep, but rather to a separate group of Jews? If we accept that Jesus was speaking about the Great White Throne Judgment Scene at the end of the Millennium instead of His Second Coming, His words fit perfectly, even the part about the "Kingdom Prepared from the Foundation of the World."

Goats and the "Brethren"
Pastor, the fact that Jesus did NOT mention His brethren when addressing the Goats is very significant. Notice again His words: "Then shall they [the Goats] also answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when saw we Thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto Thee? Then shall He answer them, saying, 'Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these [Notice Jesus did not say "My Brethren" here], ye did it not to Me" (Matt.25:44-45). Pastor, it would seem that, if Pre-Trib is correct, Jesus would have said, "Verily I say unto you [the Goats], Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these "My Brethren," ye did it not to Me."  If the Sheep's reward was for treating the "Brethren" kindly, then the Goat's punishment would be for treating the Brethren unkindly, thus Jesus would have included "Brethren" when addressing the Sheep and the Goats. If, on the other hand, Jesus will be telling all of the Redeemed from all ages that kindness to the "least of these," meaning the way we treat every needy person, will be the same as if we are treating Jesus Himself with kindness, and ignoring the needy will be the same as ignoring Jesus Himself, then the words of Jesus make perfect sense. So why did Jesus mention "My Brethren" only when addressing the Sheep? The answer is clear.
The Sheep ARE His Brethren, while the Goats are NOT His Brethren!

"From the Foundation of the World"
Jesus said the Kingdom was, "Prepared from the Foundation of the World." The, "Foundation of the World," was Creation Week.  What was the world like at it's Foundation? It was perfect! There were no defects of any kind. It was truly Paradise, "Prepared" by Jesus Himself. Underscore, "Prepared." Will Planet Earth be perfect at Christ's Second Coming, or, will it be utter and complete devastation because of sin and sinners?

Condition of Earth at Christ's Second Coming
Is there really any possibility that planet earth at Christ's Second Coming could be a, "Prepared Kingdom?" Pastor, Pre-Trib absolutely agrees that this entire world will be in complete and absolute desolation at Christ's Second Coming. A massive, world-wide earthquake and seven plagues will have destroyed everything! Billions of dead bodies will lie unburied everywhere (see Isa.34:3, Jer.25:33)! Would Jesus call this planet in this condition a, "Kingdom Prepared for the Jews from the Foundation of the World?" When Jesus gives His people the "Kingdom Prepared from the Foundation of the World," it will not be a temporary, thousand year Kingdom beginning in complete devastation!! This earth at that time will need all those billions of dead bodies cleared up and buried, but Isaiah and Jeremiah and other prophets tell us they will lie unburied for a long time and that there will be no one to bury them. Those millions of flattened buildings would need to be cleared away and new buildings built. Pastor, we suggest Jesus will give the "Blessed of His Father" a, "New Heaven and a New Earth" "wherein dwelleth righteousness" (2Pet.3:13)!!!

What Did Jesus Really Say and Really Mean?
We could dig deeper and deeper into this Parable/Prophecy Jesus gave concerning the Sheep and Goats, but if we stray from what Jesus really said confusion will abound. The real point Jesus was making here had nothing to do with Jews or Gentiles. Jesus was simply telling us that if we want Salvation, we will demonstrate that we genuinely care about the less fortunate. He was saying that those who treat "the least of these," regardless of what nation they are from, as though they were dealing with Jesus Himself, their rewards in God's Kingdom will be great. But, those who claim to be "Saved," "Born Again," "Repentant," "Converted," or whatever they believe it takes to go to Heaven, yet neglect to treat, "the least of these" (the down trodden, sick, poor, etc) as if they were dealing with Jesus Himself, will be forever lost!! Jesus will say to these hypocrites, "Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his Angels" (Matt.25:41)!!

Great White Throne Judgment
The Parable/Prophecy of the Sheep and the Goats could appear to be a scene at the Second Coming of Jesus. When Jesus said, "When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the Throne of His glory," it seems quite natural to assume the word, "come," is reference to Christ's Second Coming. Also, Jesus said this immediately after He described His Second Coming. But, as we have seen already in this Blogsite, Pre-Trib has had to redirect the wording Jesus used in order to make it fit their View.
When Jesus brings New Jerusalem down from God out of heaven at the end of the Millennium, John saw the wicked dead resurrected and stand before the Great White Throne Judgment Scene. It goes without saying that, at that time, every "Holy Angel," and every fallen angel, demons, and Satan himself will be gathered there. So, when Jesus said, "When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the Throne of His glory," and when He said He will say to the Goats,"Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels,"
is there any reason this all refers to the end of the Millennium instead of the beginning? There are many examples in the Bible of statements made that appear to mean a certain thing, but when the evidence is examined from other Scriptures, this evidence becomes supplemental proof.

Example
Concerning the Resurrection, Jesus said, "Marvel not at this; for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" (Jn.5:28-29). Daniel said the same: "And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to shame and everlasting contempt" (Dan.12:2). If not for a later Revelation given to John on Patmos, we'd have no choice but to believe there'll be only one resurrection. We'd have to believe that the righteous and wicked would be resurrected together. But we know from John that there'll be two resurrections. John described events involving the righteous, then he wrote, "But the rest of the dead lived not again till the thousand years were finished" (Rev.20:5). If, after reading John's words, we go back and read the words of Jesus and Daniel, we can easily see that John does not contradict them, but rather, clarifies what they said. And so it is with Christ's Parable/Prophecy of the Sheep and Goats. When John describes the Great White Throne Judgment, he is actually clarifying Christ's Sheep and Goat illustration. It is important to note that Supplemental Bible Prophecy is supplemental only. Nowhere in Scripture does a new Prophecy contradict a clear Bible statement. We must also remember that Prophecies that involve people's actions are often conditional.

Sequence of Future Events
After 35 years of carefully examining Bible Prophecy, this Author has concluded that the following is how the Bible says this earth will be closed down and how Jesus will replace it with a "New Earth." The following is the only order of events that do not require revising, reversing, rearranging, or rejecting any Scriptures.

The Great Tribulation
The next event human kind will see is the Great Tribulation. For Scripture explanation of why the Church will go through the Tribulation, see "The Great Tribulation - Why the Church ?"
Second Coming of Jesus
Immediately after the Tribulation, Jesus will come and take every saved person since Creation to Heaven. We find no conclusive evidence of the popular two phase Coming of Jesus. Thus no Rapture before the Tribulation followed by the Second Coming seven years later. All of the righteous dead will be raised and, along with all of the righteous living, are caught up to, "meet the Lord in the air" (see 1Thess.4:16-18). All unsaved still alive are destroyed by Christ's brightness (see 2Thess.2:8). The unsaved dead lie unburied and are not resurrected until a thousand years later. "The rest of the dead lived not again until the 1000 years are expired" (Rev.20:5).
The Millennium in Heaven
God's people will then spend a thousand years living and reigning with Jesus in Heaven! Jesus said He was going back to His Father's House to prepare places for His People, thus all of the Redeemed inherit the homes Jesus prepared (Jn.14:1-3). They reign with Him a thousand years (Rev.20:6), but the Kingdom, New Jerusalem, doesn't stop at the end, it simply descends to this earth! We will look closer at the end of the thousand years in a moment.

At the Same Time - Millennium on Earth
Billions of unburied carcasses are everywhere (Isa.34:3; Jer.25:33). The Sun no longer gives its light, so earth gets VERY cold! The entire Planet Earth becomes Satan's Frozen Bottomless Pit. He and his demons weep and wail and gnash their teeth for the entire thousand years. See Blogsites "Satan's Millennial Kingdom" and "Animals/Demons in the Millennium" for more details with Bible texts.

Next - New Jerusalem Descends!
The thousand years are finished. Heaven, New Jerusalem, "Comes down from God out of Heaven" to Earth (Rev.21:2).

The Wicked Dead Resurrected
"And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and Hell gave up the dead that were in them" (Rev.20:13)! With all of the wicked from all time since Creation now alive, Satan will then have all of the lost wicked as his army, "the number of whom is as the sands of the sea" (Rev.20:8; Isa.14:9).

Satan and His Army Attack New Jerusalem

Satan and his army, the unnumbered multitude of resurrected lost wicked, surround the Beloved City, New Jerusalem, ready to attack (Rev.20:9; Ezek.38:11-12). But something suddenly happens!! Something interrupts Satan and his army as they surround New Jerusalem!?!?

Great White Throne Judgment
Every unsaved human since creation and every wicked angel, Satan included, are assembled around New Jerusalem planning an attack! But, suddenly, God appears, sitting in His Great White Throne and the elements flee away (see Rev. 20:11). All the wicked are caught in the very act of trying to attack God and New Jerusalem, thus they cannot plead innocent. The books are opened and each sees his or her sins and the horrid results. When they see the clear evidence of their wickedness, they have no choice but to acknowledge their guilt. "Every knee bows and every tongue confesses" (Isa. 45:23; Rom. 14:11; Phil. 2:10-11), but it is forever too late! Seeing it's too late, the wicked revert back into their greed and again prepare to attack New Jerusalem. But it is not to be!! "And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. And the Devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of fire and Brimstone" (Rev.20:10-11) "And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire" (Vs.14-15).  For more on this, see,   "Christ's REAL Millennial Kingdom." The real Kingdom of God as it is described in Scripture is refreshing and completely understandable.
Eternity - Forever and Ever
New Heavens and New Earth
After the fire has consumed everything, Earth will then be purified! Only ashes remain, thus earth is ready for Jesus to bring order out of chaos and, once again make a perfect world just as He did at Creation! When He's done, all of Earth will be like the Garden of Eden. God’s people will still have their Mansions in New Jerusalem, and now they can build an additional, country home outside the City. This New Earth will be God’s REAL Paradise (Isa.65:21-25)! It will be the real, "Kingdom prepared from the Foundation of the world for the Blessed of the Father!" A country home and a city home! As some of us country folks would say, "It don't get no better'n this!"

"Eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that Love Him"  (1Cor.2:9). If we keep all of what we have discussed above in our minds, every time we read Scripture concerning end time events, there will be no Un-Answerable Questions or any Contradictory Views such as "How can there be a Millennial (thousand year) Kingdom if it is an Everlasting Kingdom."

Thank You, Dear Reader, for you time and interest. May God help us as we search His Scriptures to find His Truth concerning His Coming! Let's pray that it will be SOON!!

We Suggest another Blogsite that proves from Scripture that there'll be no Earthly Millennial Kingdom. Check "Ezekiel's Temple." It shows many reasons why the Temple Ezekiel prophesied about CANNOT be during the Millennium. Following is 1 example why: In Ezekiel's Temple, the People who had mistreated the Jews would become their slaves. If this were true, the Sheep in Christ's illustration would be slaves to the Jews during what Pre-Trib calls the Earthly Millennial Kingdom. In other words, the very people who showed kindness to the Jews during the Great Tribulation, will be rewarded for their kindness by becoming slaves to the Jews. If this sounds ridiculous, see
